This cocktail was created by barman Phil Ward of Death & Co. in New York. It complex combination of rye, sweet vermouth, Amer Picon bitters and maraschino liqueur make a rich and impressionable cocktail.


  • 2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce Amer Picon
  • 1/4 ounce Maraschino liqueur


  1. Place the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Slowly stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
