Breakfast Cake is filled with good things and smells great coming out of the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour, sifted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • cinnamon for sprinkling

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients with pastry blender, set aside 1 cup crumbs.
  2. Add egg, milk and extract; beat just until well mixed. Pour into a greased and floured 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Scatter crumbs and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.
