Breakfast Cake is filled with good things and smells great coming out of the oven.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour, sifted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- cinnamon for sprinkling
Directions
- Combine first 3 ingredients with pastry blender, set aside 1 cup crumbs.
- Add egg, milk and extract; beat just until well mixed. Pour into a greased and floured 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Scatter crumbs and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.
