- 6 large firm green tomatoes, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
- 1 cup cornmeal
- Vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- Coat the tomatoes in the cornmeal. Season with the salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a skillet. Fry the tomatoes until browned over medium-high heat. Turn only once.
