Fresh, light and frothy, the Boxcar Cocktail is a delicious blend of London gin, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and an egg white.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces London dry gin
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 egg white
- Sugar to rim glass
- Lime wedge
Directions
- Place some sugar onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass to moisten and then dip the rim into the sugar, pressing gently to adhere. Put the sugar-rimmed glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Place the remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with cracked ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 60 seconds and then strain into the prepared cocktail glass; serve immediately.
