A simple blend of rye, Campari and vermouth makes this classy cocktail for one.


  • 1-1/2 ounces rye (or bourbon)
  • 3/4 ounce Campari
  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  • lemon zest for garnish


  1. Place a martini glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Place the rye, Campari and vermouth into a cocktail shaker and stir with a bar spoon for about 25 seconds until chilled.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and then run some lemon zest around the rim and add into the drink. Serve immediately.
