Borscht is a classic favorite of beet lovers.  Make sure to add a dollop of sour cream.

Ingredients

  • 1, 16 ounce can beets
  • 3 medium Kosher Dill pickles
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • dash Tabasco sauce
  • juice of one freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 small can tomato juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in blender and puree. Garnish with sour cream.
