Vodka is blended with Anisette, a colorless anise-flavored liqueur that is produced through the distillation of the anise-plant, to create this invigorating martini.


  • 1-1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1-1/2 ounces anisette
  • Star anise to garnish


  1. Place a cocktail glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Put the vodka and the anisette into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into the chilled cocktail glass; serve immediately garnished with a star anise.
