Spread the holiday cheer with this zesty Blue Cheese Spread. Serve on cocktail ryes or for a unique and healthy idea try apple slices.
- 3 ounces blue cheese
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- apple slices
- lemon juice
- cocktail rye
- Cream the blue chees and mix in butter and brandy. Cover and chill overnight.
- Core apples and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Dip slices into lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
- Place spread on a decorative plate and surround with apple slices.
