Looking for a flavorful and filling snack? Try these English muffins topped with bacon, lettuce and tomato and smothered in sharp cheddar cheese.


  • 2 English muffins
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 4 pieces of lettuce
  • 4 strips of bacon, crumbled
  • mayonnaise to spread
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a small frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon for 7 minutes until crispy. Place on top of paper towels to drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the oven broiler on high.
  3. Cut the English muffins in half and spread with a bit of mayonnaise. Top with a slice of tomato, onion, lettuce, some of the bacon and cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and place under the boiler until the cheese melts.
