Looking for a flavorful and filling snack? Try these English muffins topped with bacon, lettuce and tomato and smothered in sharp cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 English muffins
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 4 pieces of lettuce
- 4 strips of bacon, crumbled
- mayonnaise to spread
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a small frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon for 7 minutes until crispy. Place on top of paper towels to drain and set aside.
- Prepare the oven broiler on high.
- Cut the English muffins in half and spread with a bit of mayonnaise. Top with a slice of tomato, onion, lettuce, some of the bacon and cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and place under the boiler until the cheese melts.
