Blood Orange Vinaigrette

Some blood oranges are grown in California but the majority come from Mediterranean countries, mainly Southern Italy.  Enjoy their sweet-tart and slightly berry-like flavor in this delicious vinaigrette.

  • 4 tablespoons fresh blood orange juice
  • 4 tablespoons good-quality balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • sea salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. Place the fresh blood orange juice and vinegar into a bowl and whisk to combine. Slowly add the olive oil and continue to whisk until blended. Season the vinaigrette to taste with a few pinches of salt and fresh pepper and then serve immediately.
