This cocktail comes from a recipe found in the 1940 edition of Patrick Gavin Duffy's Official Mixer's Manual.
- 1-1/2 ounces Rye Whiskey
- 1-1/2 ounces Grapefruit Juice
- 1/2 ounce Grenadine
- Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then double strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
