Black Tea Infused Mezcal

Both Tequila and Mezcal come from agave, but tequila is specifically made from the blue agave while Mezcal can come from any number of the maguey plant species.


  • 4 heaping tablespoons loose black tea
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle Mezcal


  1. Place the Mezcal and the black tea into a container and stir to combine. Cover the container and set the mixture aside for 1 hour to steep.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve and transfer to an airtight container. Store the spirit in a cool, dry location until ready to use.
