Both Tequila and Mezcal come from agave, but tequila is specifically made from the blue agave while Mezcal can come from any number of the maguey plant species.
- 4 heaping tablespoons loose black tea
- 1 (750 ml) bottle Mezcal
- Place the Mezcal and the black tea into a container and stir to combine. Cover the container and set the mixture aside for 1 hour to steep.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve and transfer to an airtight container. Store the spirit in a cool, dry location until ready to use.
