These flavorful muffins make an excellent breakfast treat, especially alongside a hot cup of coffee.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup wheat germ
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups half-and-half cream
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Directions
- Combine flour, whole wheat flour, wheat germ, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; set aside.
- Beat eggs and half-and-half cream together.
- Blend flour combination into egg mixture.
- Gently fold in berries.
- Pour batter into greased muffin tins.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
