Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, whole wheat flour, wheat germ, 2/3 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; set aside.
  2. Beat eggs and half-and-half cream together.
  3. Blend flour combination into egg mixture.
  4. Fold in berries.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  6. Combine remaining sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter until mixture becomes crumbly; sprinkle over top of batter.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
