Biscuits From Scratch

Cream and baking powder biscuits.


  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a baking sheet.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix in the cream, only enough to dampen the dough.
  3. Knead on a lightly floured board for 10-12 strokes. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Use a floured biscuit cutter to cut. Arrange the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
