Basic Brisket Marinade

Marinating a brisket not only adds flavor but keeps it tender and juicy. Place the marinade in a Ziploc bag, add the brisket, and let it marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.


  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper


  1. Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl, and stir until sugar has totally dissolved.
  2. Put the marinade in a Ziploc bag, add the brisket and place the bag in the refrigerator to marinate overnight.
  3. Remove the brisket from the bag, discard the marinade and cook the meat as desired.
