Banana Toffee Cake is topped with chocolate glaze and almond brickle chips.


  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup almond brickle chips
  • chocolate frosting for glaze


  1. Grease bottom and sides of 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
  2. Beat dry cake mix, bananas, water, oil, almond extract and eggs in large bowl with mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour into pan. Sprinkle with almond brickle chips.
  3. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Run knife around side of pan to loosen cake. Cool completely, 1 hour. Drizzle with glaze.
  4. To make glaze: Microwave 1/3 cup chocolate frosting on High 5 to 10 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle.
