Banana Pound Cake is moist and delicious. Top a slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup for a sundae cake. Don't forget the whipped cream and cherries.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups shortening
- 2-1/2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 6 bananas, mashed
- 2 teaspoons soda
- pinch of salt
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugar together in a bowl. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add bananas, mixing well.
- Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour into a large greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 300 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours.
