Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 bananas, mashed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together bananas, 3/4 cups sugar, egg and applesauce.
  3. Blend flour combination into egg mixture.
  4. Fold in dried cranberries.
  5. Pour batter into prepared muffin tins.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together remaining brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter until mixture becomes crumbly; sprinkle over top of muffins.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
