Cherry crisp with a crumb topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup juice from canned cherries
  • 2 cups cherries, unsweetened
  • Crumb Topping:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 7 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter a 9-inch square pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar and cherry juice. Stir in the cherries. Pour into the prepared pan.
  3. Combine all the crumb topping ingredients and crumble over the cherry mixture.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve with whipped topping.
