Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Make a lot of these appetizers.  Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts won't stick around long.


  • 2 cans whole water chestnuts
  • 1 pound bacon
  • Sauce: 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook bacon just enough to get the grease out, but not too crisp. Drain well on a paper towel.
  2. Wrap 1/2 piece of bacon around one water chestnut. Secure bacon with a toothpick. Repeat with each chestnut. Place in a 8 by 8 inch pan.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients to make sauce. Pour sauce over chestnuts. Bake for about 45 minutes. Serve hot.
