This can make a refreshing afternoon snack as well as just a bowl of soup.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound asparagus cut up
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream

Directions

  1. In saucepan cook asparagus and onion slices in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Do not drain.
  3. Cool slightly.
  4. Pour into blender.
  5. Add milk, cream, salt and a dash of pepper.
  6. Cover and blend till smooth.
  7. Chill, blend again and serve.
