This recipe is for a satisfying rice side dish inspired by Asian flavors. Pair with baked chicken or grilled steak for a complete meal.


  • 1 package rice pilaf
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 cup carrots, diced
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red bell pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Make the rice as directed on package directions; fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. In a large serving bowl, mix together all of the remaining ingredients and then add in the rice. Mix well to combine and serve.
