Apricots with Gooey Nougat

Dazzle your fellow campers with apricots that turn divinely tender, sweet and sour when cooked over a grill.

Ingredients

  • 4 apricots, halved and stoned
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon dark rum
  • 2 pieces of nougat

Directions

  1. Arrange the apricot halves on a piece of foil and make the sides of the foil into a boat.
  2. Dot the fruit with the butter, drizzle with the rum, then place a sliver of nougat in each apricot half.
  3. Cook on a covered grill for 10 to 15 minutes, until the fruit and nougat are softened.
