These sweet squares are perfect for gift giving!
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 10-ounce jar apricot jam
Directions
- Mix together sugar, flour, butter, coconut, nuts, egg, salt and vanilla.
- Press three-fourths of batter into the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- Layer jam evenly over top.
- Pour remaining batter over jam, then spread allowing some of the jam to show through.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
