Apricot Bars have a bit of a tang and are great with a cup of coffee or cold glass of milk.


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup apricot jam


  1. In mixing bowl, blend together first five ingredients until crumbly. Press two thirds of mixture into a lightly greased 8 inch square baking pan.
  2. Spread jam over this layer. Spoon remaining crumbs over jam. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
