Apples in Brown Sugar Sauce

These glazed apples are delicious! Use them to accompany your main dish at breakfast or serve it after breakfast as a light snack to end the morning. Fresh pears can be used in place of apples.


  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup apple juice


  1. Sautee apples in skillet over medium heat; stir frequently for 5 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle sugar, nutmeg and apple juice over apples while they continue to cook.
  3. Apples are ready to serve when sugar melts and the mixture comes to a boil.
