Apple cider, also known as cider vinegar, is made with crushed apples. Its slightly sweet taste makes it a great base ingredient for vinaigrette.


  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 heaping tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh pepper


  1. Place all of the ingredients into a bowl and whisk vigorously until the mixture is thoroughly blended and emulsified. Use immediately or store in an airtight jar until ready to use.
