This sweet and tart apple and kiwi dressing is extremely versatile; use it as a tenderizer, toss it with your favorite salad, or spoon it over grilled or poached chicken, spicy beef sirloin or grilled vegetables.


  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 3 kiwifruit, peeled and cut into chunks (about 1/2 pound)
  • 1 small garlic clove


  1. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend the mixture until the texture is smooth. Use the dressing immediately or transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
