Ingredients

  • 6 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups to 2 cups milk
  • margarine, melted

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Add milk, stirring to make soft dough.
  2. Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter, placing on baking sheet. Brush with margarine.
  3. Bake at 425 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
