Amaretto Hot Chocolate

Amaretto Hot Chocolate

Adding amaretto to real hot chocolate adds a wonderful almond aroma and taste.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons amaretto
  • 5 ounces good-quality milk chocolate, coarsely chopped

Directions

  1. Place the milk and cream into a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 4 minutes.
  2. Add the chocolate and whisk the mixture until thoroughly melted and blended, then remove the hot chocolate from the heat and whisk in the amaretto.
  3. Pour into 2 mugs and serve immediately.
