Absinthe Frappe Cocktail

Absinthe and fresh mint shaken and served over crushed ice makes quite the cool yet invigorating refresher.


  • 1 ounce absinthe
  • 1 barspoon simple syrup
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 ounce club soda
  • mint sprig to garnish


  1. Place the mint into a cocktail glass and muddle gently to bruise.
  2. Add the absinthe and simple syrup to the glass and then fill with crushed ice.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a shaker, shake vigorously for 20 seconds and then pour back into the glass. Top the drink with the club soda and then garnish with the mint sprig. Serve immediately.
