Absinthe and fresh mint shaken and served over crushed ice makes quite the cool yet invigorating refresher.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce absinthe
- 1 barspoon simple syrup
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- 1 ounce club soda
- mint sprig to garnish
Directions
- Place the mint into a cocktail glass and muddle gently to bruise.
- Add the absinthe and simple syrup to the glass and then fill with crushed ice.
- Transfer the mixture to a shaker, shake vigorously for 20 seconds and then pour back into the glass. Top the drink with the club soda and then garnish with the mint sprig. Serve immediately.
