Roast chicken with delicious Asian flavors.  Serves well with steamed rice and sweet and your favorite Asian vegetables and sauces.


  • 1 chicken, 3-4 pounds
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 2 slices ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 lime


  1. Prepare chicken by washing thoroughly, inside and out, and patting dry. Juice entire lime and rub all over chicken. Finely chop garlic and ginger root.
  2. Combine garlic, ginger, soy, salt, oil, and sugar. Rub entire chicken and let set 1hour or overnight. Place chicken on roasting pan in cook for 30 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.Turn heat down to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and continue cooking for about 1 hour.
