An interesting and unexpected combination of ingredients creates this unique and flavorful whiskey-based cocktail sour.


  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce maple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon blueberry jam
  • 1 ounce Zinfandel wine


  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the wine, into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds to combine.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and then vigorously shake for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the mixture into a wine glass and carefully float the wine by pouring it over the back of a spoon and into the drink; serve immediately.
