Hero dogs

Amazing Rescues By Canine Heroes

According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a hero is "a person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life." These same qualities extend to our four-legged friends who have, time and time again, exhibited selflessness and courage in challenging situations.

Service Dogs

Every day, dogs all over the world work full time to give their humans better lives. These service dogs bring freedom and independence to the physically disabled, deaf, blind and visually impaired. They become the legs for soldiers who return from battle without the ability to walk. They guide the blind safely across busy intersections. They help the disabled dress and prepare for their daily lives. I have tremendous respect for these dogs and their trainers for the joy and life they give to others.

wow...this is so heartbreaking....yet so admirable, of how a dog puts his life in danger by going in the middle of the highway to save a hurt dog across the street...
