If you want to go to the extreme and take an animal home, watch for the Adopt a Lifelong Friend at the Zoo day. The Capital Humane Society introduces furry friends to potential future owners. For those kids who like a little independence, the summer camp is an exciting way to spend the summer. There are three session options: morning, afternoon and full-day. Classes start at age 3 and go up to age 12. There's even a traveling camp for teens aged 14 to 18.
