Much like the summer resorts of the '50s and '60s, Smugglers' Notch prides itself on providing a vacation community for its visitors where guests quickly become friends with the staff and each other. Accommodations at Smugglers' Notch are condominium-style with amenities such as cable TV, a fully-equipped kitchen, even some with in-home laundry facilities.
The most important thing to decide when it comes to your accommodations is which of the resort's five communities you want to stay in. Each community varies in proximity to the resort's attractions and the types of floor plans available. You may also want to check with resort staff to help you select a community where families with kids are already staying. Of course there's so much more to Smugglers' Notch than the accommodations.
Water, water everywhere — that's what your kids will love the most when you visit Smugglers' Notch. The resort has eight pools and four water slides, plus a lake-swimming area with a 25-foot water trampoline and aqua jump. The lake area also allows for canoeing and paddle boating to provide water fun for non-swimmers. Once your kids are thoroughly waterlogged, Smugglers' Notch will have them on the ropes — the rope courses that is! Smugglers' Notch provides guests with access to their award-winning children's programs that accepts children ages six-weeks to 17. Each program is tailor-made for each age group with activities that include singing, dancing, rope courses, hiking, arts and crafts, skateboarding, tennis and so much more.
While the kids are occupied, parents can try out the resort's zip-line for themselves, play a round of golf or a game of tennis, take a hike, get a massage, relax in the resort's hot tubs or simply relax and enjoy Smugglers' Notch's impressive mountain views.
