On Dec. 1, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix comes alive with glowing lights with the kick-off party of its hugely popular Las Noches de las Luminarias event.
Through the 30th of the month, the breathtaking Botanical Garden is aglow with more than 8,000 hand-lit luminaria bags. As guests stroll through the gardens taking in the surrounding nature light by thousands of luminaria as well as string lights, they can enjoy the musical stylings of 10 different and unique live group performances including a mariachi band, carolers singing Christmas classics and hand-bell ensembles.
Guests are welcome to indulge in a buffet dinner in addition to the holiday festivities -- $17 for adults and $9 for children 12 and under, or simply sip some vino as you stroll through the gardens with a wine flight that can be purchased at the seasonal Retail Wine Store. A trip to the Botanical Garden's Noches de las Luminarias is not one you'll soon forget.
The Botanical Garden's luminaria event runs 22 nights through the month of December, including some dates between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the event as well as the buffet can be purchased online at dbg.org. Check the Botanical Garden's calendar of events for specific dates, as well as preview nights designed specifically for Garden members only.
