This aquarium, formerly dubbed the "Lost City of Atlantis," brings together science and nature with myth to an learning-rich yet entertaining experience for its guests. Check out exhibits such as the Touch Tank, Lost City of Atlantis Shark Exhibit, Coral Reef and the Amazon Rainforest. The Long Island Aquarium also encompasses the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation -- New York State's only authorized marine mammal and sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation center.
