Celebrities this year loved gender bending and picked baby girl names that are traditionally more male. Martha Stewart's daughter, Alexis Stewart, named her baby girl Jude, while Johnny Knoxville settled on the name Arlo for his daughter.
Other celebrities went for "old lady" names, such as Agnes (Jennifer Connelly), Hattie (Tori Spelling) and Cleo (David Schwimmer).
Some celebs this year decided to keep the first name tame, but went a little crazy with the middle name. Victoria Beckham went numerical by naming her daughter Harper Seven, while Bryan Adams named his baby girl Mirabella Bunny.
Alicia Silverstone wins the prize this year for weirdest celebrity baby name with Bear Blu. She recently told Us Weekly that most people think the name is "super cute."
"We had narrowed our list to five boy names, and then we couldn't really decide," she said. "[My husband] suggested Bear or Blu, and I loved them both."
On the positive side, at least she didn't name him Blu Bear.
Mike Meyers comes in at a close second with the name Spike. I mean, really -- Mike and Spike? January Jones settled on the sci-fi sounding name of Xander for her baby boy, while Natalie Portman picked the unique name Aleph for her son.
Kate Hudson named her son Bingham Hawn Bellamy and they plan on calling him Bing. "For those wondering, Bingham is my mum's maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt's dad," dad Matthew Bellamy wrote on twitter. "Family connections all round!"
I have to admit, Bingham is growing on me!
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon win the award for weirdest twin names by naming their girl and boy twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe, which they will call Roc and Roe (like rock and roll). Football quarterback Peyton Manning and his wife welcomed twins this year and named the girl the unusual name of Mosley, while the boy was given the more traditional name of Marshall.
Jessica Alba stuck with virtue names and names starting with the letter "h" when naming both her daughters, Honor and Haven. Big and Rich singer John Rich also chose a sibling name that started with the same letter and followed a country western theme by naming his two boys Cash and Colt.
