My dad's parents were Granny and Grandpa to me.

I am called Mims and my husband is called Papa. On the other side of the family it is Grammy and Grampy.

we are "gwama and bumpa" from our little angel Kirra Jo!

I always wanted my grandchildren to have a special name for me, something different that no one had. All 3 call me "Moo-Moo". Careful what you wish for, :) . Dont get me wrong, i love the name

My daughter and her husband just found out they are expecting their first. I would like to be called something unique so I am Pamma (pam maw).

When I was little I only had my two female grandparents left so my parents would call them grammy or gramma but when I got older my parents explained to me what grandparents are... that they were my parents parents. So I had my mom's mom and my dad's mom... so I came up with the names mumma's-mum and dada's-mum. They died when I was young but to this day I still call them that!!

My grandchildren call me Bubbi. I wanted something unique. I heard this name in a movie call Crossing Delancy. My daughters did't like it or understand it until they hear Rachel Green on Friends call her Grandmother, Bubbi. Both my girls called within 10 minutes of each other to tell me that it was OK for their kids to call me Bubbi.

My children called my father PapaDaddy. I had called my grandfather Granddaddy, so we decided PapaDaddy was good for my dad. My husband is now Poppy. I am Grammy. My mother was Nanny. The neighbor kids all call me Grammy Nancy.

My granddaughter was calling everyone in the family something, except for me. I'm her grandmama. That's what I wanted her to call me. I would ask, what are you going to call me or what is my name? Finally, one day with a big grin, she said,"MeMe. I now spell it Mimi. My next grandchild had no problem calling me Mimi. But it wasn't listed. It's too late to change it now. I am Mimi to them forever! :) I have since heard of others called Mimi. Some spell it MiMi.
