Social Networking
With Moms

No matter how you feel about social networking, you can’t deny the power of the tweet. The popularity of Twitter has exploded in recent years, making it one of the most powerful forms of communication available in cyberspace. Collectively, moms project a loud voice via Twitter, speaking out on everything from chaotic schedules and messy husbands to crafts and politics.

Twitter Mom #11:  Teresa Giudice

One of the stars of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa is pure entertainment. She tweets about life with her "juicy" husband and four daughters. You'll also hear about her new book, Skinny Italian.

Twitter Mom #12: Sarah Pekkanen

Sarah's debut novel, The Opposite of Me, just hit bookstores everywhere. Her tweets are real, unexpected and relatable, like this one: "I nearly hurdled over the drugstore counter and kissed the pimply clerk on the lips because he called me 'Miss'."

Twitter Mom #13:  Sommer Poquette

If you are into green living, you will love Sommer's tweets. The brain behind, Sommer inspires her followers and readers to take little steps toward a greener life each day. Her tweets are just what the eco-savvy mom ordered.

Twitter Mom #14: Katja Presnal

Katja inspires women to live life to the fullest -- what she calls the "Skimbaco Lifestyle." This PR and social networking expert tweets about fashion, blogging, her travels and her kids. You'll be uplifted and informed.

Twitter Mom #15: Giada DeLaurentis

This well known Food Network star and mom to daughter Jade always has an interesting observation to share. Her culinary-inspired tweets will make you drool. For example: "Jade & I r making sweet & spicy chix drumettes & cinnamon fudge for Superbowl!!" Yum.

Twitter Mom #16: Janice and Susan

Identical twins and Web entrepreneurs Janice and Susan have four children and one seriously insightful blog between them. Their mission is to bring moms together, and they are definitely reaching their goal. Clearly, no tweeting topic is taboo, evidenced by this example: "adore having little ones and I hate that Livvie is growing up so fast. But I will NOT miss the poop!!! –Jan"

Twitter Mom #17:  Beth Blecherman

Beth is a techie turned blogger based in (where else?) Silicon Valley, California . On her blog,, she touches on technology-related topics geared toward parents and families. Her tweets provide parents with helpful technology tips such as: "Online parent homework-have safety talk on regular basis, set example, use privacy settings, Google yourself and show your kids."

Twitter Mom #18:  Amber Myers

Amber is a military wife and mom to a 7-year-old son with ADHD and a 2-year-old daughter. Her tweets are guaranteed to make you laugh, or at least smile. Here's a recent example: "Tom is trying to convince me to go to Perkins for dinner instead of cooking. It's his polite way of saying 'Your meat loaf tastes like poo.'" Funny, right?

Twitter Mom #19: Jillian Barberie Reynolds

The irreverent co-host of Good Day L.A., Jillian admits to tweeting while breastfeeding her newborn son. She tweets a mile a minute about everything under the sun. Follow her for a month, and you will feel soooo in the know.

Twitter Mom #20: Lisa

Lisa is a mother of three active boys and an advocate for healthy living. A former personal trainer and marathon runner, Lisa knows how hard it is to fit in a workout as a mom. Sound familiar? Follow her tweets and you (and your kids) will be motivated to get moving and get fit.

Thank you so much for including me on this list! It is an honor to be included in this lineup of amazing women, many who I know (and love) in real life! Wanted to make sure you knew that I haven't been tweeting from @JessicaKnows for several months tweeting @JessicaNow. And another update! I no longer live in Sacramento, just moved back to Washington, DC Metro area (where I"m originally from) to work out of my firm's DC office. Thanks again!

Love the list thanks. But in the future could you make it easier for your readers to be able to follow on Twitter by linking from their Twitter handle like you did for @Sheknows and @pregnancyandbaby

Wow what a great list of ladies to find myself on... thanks for including me! :) I feel fortunate for knowing many of these women already and can't wait to follow those I wasn't already. Aimee is right that there's no way to make a list to encompass all the amazing ladies out there on twitter - but I kind of like the way that people will always come to these articles and add a few more to the comments - as a rule? It just gives me more awesome ladies to follow & connect with! :)

I follow all but 3 on this list. Your list delves in to the part of the blogosphere that interests me: good writing and good people. Thanks for an inclusive list.
