Yarmulkes
A special yarmulke could be a fantastic present for one of the eight nights of Hanukkah. For a boy, choose a fun special one. Ari's Judaica Treasures has many styles, featuring sports teams, popular characters like Lightning McQueen and Elmo, and other cool
designs. A number of handmade, cool designs can be found on Etsy.com.
Dolls
Girls love dolls, don't they? A doll could be a fabulous Hanukkah present for a special girl. The popular American Girl series recently introduced a Russian Jewish doll named Rebecca Rubin. She has
a great backstory, as do all the American Girl dolls so it's a good way to teach your little girl some Jewish history too.
For a less expensive option, check out Gali Girls. The company bills itself as selling Jewish Dolls for Jewish Girls, and has a number of dolls with different looks available.
A countdown calendar
Why shouldn't your kids have a special countdown calendar for Hanukkah. The best part of this gift is that you can use it again year after year. Check out TheLandofNod.com for a very cute Hanukkah
Countdown Calendar, with little pockets for surprises.
Pottery Barn Kids also sells a countdown calendar. Kids can lift and secure a tab, revealing a new flame on the menorah candles each night. It's a great way for the kids to participate in the
candle lighting, without actually using any flames.
Music
There is so much great music out there that celebrates Hanukkah and the Jewish tradition. Fill a new MP3 player or iPod with great holiday-themed tunes. Make it extra special by including a gift
card to get more music of their choice too for the player.
