The tragic news comes just 3 months after the actor announced her pregnancy

Vanessa Marcil — star of General Hospital, Beverly Hills 90210 and Las Vegas has miscarried the baby girl she was carrying. The actor revealed the devastating news on Jan. 25 via Instagram. The post shows a photo of Marcil and her fiancé — known on social media as "MC" — kissing on a beach.

Marcil released the news to ask for privacy as well as send a heartfelt message to others who have endured pregnancy loss, letting them know they're not alone.

“Our hearts are with Vanessa and MC who have lost baby OPM. Thank you for respecting their privacy as they heal and thank you for sharing all of your personal stories. You are not alone," read the Instagram statement.

On Nov. 13, Marcil revealed that she was pregnant again after having endured six miscarriages. “It’s baby time. After 6 miscarriages we are saying prayers for OPM #MadHappy,” she wrote on Instagram.

She revealed the baby's sex earlier this month, captioning an Instagram pic of her dog with her head on Marcil's belly, "THE GIRLS."

Marcil has one child — son Kassius, 15 — with ex (and fellow 90210 alum) Brian Austin Green.

We're devastated for Marcil. At the same time, we are deeply moved by her willingness to share her heartbreaking news with others who are struggling with pregnancy loss and infertility. She could have easily kept this pregnancy — and subsequent loss — a secret, but instead Marcil is bravely speaking out so other women might feel a little less alone. What a remarkably beautiful gesture during such an unspeakably painful time.
