What? You didn't celebrate 2017 with a naked bump shot?

Nikki Reed is having all the new year feels. The actor took to social media to express her gratitude for a year of big life changes — complete with a gorgeous nude mid-pregnancy photo taken by her husband, Ian Somerhalder.

“2017 you changed me forever," Reed captioned the picture. “You made me understand what it means to be human. You made me a mom. You made me a true believer in a love I’d only ever dreamed of….”

See? It's tough to find the bright spots, but 2017 wasn't all bad. Reed and Somerhalder welcomed their baby girl, Bodhi Soleil, on July 25. This is the couple's first child together, and the pair — who married in April 2015 — is over the moon with their new addition. A source for Us Weekly said Reed and Somerhalder "really wanted a baby... Nikki said she always knew she wanted to have kids before she turned 30." The source added, "They are incredibly happy together. Ian worships Nikki. He’s so sweet to her and treats her like a queen!”

Reed's fans also treat her like a queen, responding enthusiastically to the nude belly image with comments like, "Wow I love every detail of this photo! @iansomerhalder you are perfect photographer" and "I could stare at you forever!"

Reed isn't the only celebrity to delight fans with a naked belly pic of late. Even Khloé Kardashian posted one to finally — finally! — confirm her pregnancy on Dec. 20.

My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can't believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!! You have made this experience even more magical than I could have envisioned! I will never forget how wonderful you've been to me during this time! Thank you for making me so happy my love! Thank you to everyone for the love and positive vibes! I know we've been keeping this quiet but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and close friends as long as we could privately. To enjoy our first precious moments just us. Thank you all for understanding. I am so thankful, excited, nervous, eager, overjoyed and scared all in one! But it's the best bundle of feelings I've ever felt in my life!

Katherine Heigl also posted a naked throwback pregnancy pic on Dec. 20, and fans oohed and aahed.

At 9am one year ago today I had @joshbkelley take this photo of me so I could remember how incredibly pregnant I was right before we left for the hospital and my 12pm scheduled cesarean. Joshua Jr had been in the breech position for over a month and had still not moved an inch a week before his due date so I made the decision to have a cesarean and was incredibly nervous and a little scared this time last year. I had never been hospitalized or had ever had any kind of surgery and had no idea what to expect. The second photo is right before I went in for surgery. Trying to look cool, calm and collected! They numbed me up, gave me some morphine and opened me up. My doctor struggled to get him out because he was really wedged in there and not quite ready to leave the womb. When she finally pulled him out at exactly 12:33pm he didn’t start breathing and they worked quickly to get oxygen in him and start his tiny lungs. @joshbkelley was standing with them when he finally took his first breath. That day, as I slowly came out of the morphine haze and clutched my tiny man to me I thanked the heavens for his breath, his life and for making me a mother three times over. As evening settled in Josh and I got cozy in my hospital room, found one of my all time favorites #SweetHomeAlabama on the tv and just relished in our perfect newborn son. He was so tiny and new, so fragile and tender. As I lay him down to sleep that first night in his very appropriate “welcome to the world” sleep sack I thought the moment would last forever. Yet here we are, a whole year later and it’s only the photos that remind me my brute of a boy was ever so new and small! Now he’s 26 ponds of rolling, tumbling, grasping, giggling, shouting, curious, jolly energy! He is everything and more than I could have hoped for and he has brought our family even more joy, love, laughter, abundance, bliss and yes, exhaustion and exasperation too! It’s been a hell of a year and I could not be more grateful for it or him! Happy Birthday to my little man! Maybe I can make this next year go a little slower!

Said one commenter to Heigl, " love love love it... You are beautiful inside and out!!"

Kristen Bell also got real with a pregnancy throwback on social media about her 36-hour labor with daughter Delta; the ever-honest actor even included a pic of herself sporting maternity mesh panties.

All the love and humor and body positivity is everything the good parts of 2017 were made of — and everything we're hoping to see more of in 2018. But we wish every recent pregnancy pic had garnered the same sweet responses. Sadly, some celebs seem to attract only haters for their happy bump photos. TLC's Audrey Roloff of Little People, Big World is one who just can't catch a break in regard to her happy prenatal and postpartum posts.

Most of the nasty comments seem to have been removed by now on Roloff's feed, but she most definitely was not getting love for her belly shots — maybe her show's viewers are more conservative. Maybe she's just plain "not famous enough" to get away with being adorable and honest the way A-listers can. Whatever the case, there's no excuse for the shaming. And we'd like to see more love in 2018 — toward moms and toward all of us.
