We know the sex of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' baby — thanks to Dad

When she's not writing, Claire Gillespie can most often be found wiping snotty noses, picking up Lego, taking photos of her cat or doing headstands.

Ryan Reynolds had to earn some brownie points with Blake Lively after letting the sex of their new baby slip

We can always count on Ryan Reynolds to break the baby silence. Four weeks after welcoming his second child with wife Blake Lively, the actor revealed the sex of baby No. 2.

Appearing on Wednesday's episode of Conan, Reynolds confirmed that he's now father of two daughters. "Yeah a lot of estrogen," Reynolds said about the family home. "It’s like an American Girl doll took a shit on my life."

He also admitted that having two kids under the age of 2 is tough and joked that he just wanted to get out of the house.

The new arrival joins big sister James, 23 months, but so far her name remains a mystery.

While everyone was delighted to find out the sex of the new baby, it seems Lively wasn't impressed with his oversharing.

Lively took to Instagram later the same night to provide photographic evidence that her husband was in "huge trouble." He clearly knows the way to forgiveness, however, and it's in the shape of a dark chocolate peanut butter chip cookie.

Literal brownie points, indeed.

But before Reynolds' appearance on Conan he dropped a massive hint about the sex of his newborn, tweeting "The mobile above my daughter’s crib is just a whole bunch of NuvaRings. So she remembers how lucky she is."

Right, Reynolds — we just need a name now.
