If you love comic books, or even if you don't, there's no surprise that there are plenty of awesome names to choose from within their pages. While we don't necessarily advocate naming your baby Batman or Superman, the alter egos of many of our favorite comic book superheroes and supervillains are often traditional names that wouldn't garner a second glance atop a resume — but you'll always know where the name came from.

No, you probably wouldn't choose to name your baby Swamp Thing... but his alter ego Alec? That's a pretty awesome name. Also, you might find inspiration buried within the alter ego names, where a character's middle or last name would work, too. While Clark is a strong boy name, for example, it may be a little too classic for your tastes. But if you love Superman, Kent and even Kal-El are awesome choices (just ask Nicholas Cage, who named one of his sons Kal-El).
