Adele's pregnancy confession is just about as real as it gets

Adele just fessed up to something no pregnant woman wants to admit (and we love her for it)

File Adele under the list of celebrity moms who you're about to want as your new BFF. The Hello singer just fessed up to one of the dark and dirty secrets most pregnant women play close to the vest. It turns out that while she was pregnant with her little boy, Adele didn't just benefit from a full flowing mane most women sprout when they've got a bun in the oven. She also had brand new hair growing from her chinny chin chin.

During a concert in Scotland, the mother of a 3-year-old admitted, "When I got pregnant, I had so much testosterone in me that I grew a beard."

And, no, this is not one of those celebrity self-diagnosed maladies that don't hold up when put under a scientific microscope. Well, not exactly. Most experts point to increased estrogen levels, rather than testosterone, as the cause of the extra hairs. But the rest of it holds up.

Not only can you begin sporting hairs on your chin but on your boobs, stomach, cheeks and upper lip. And if that's not enough to hold over your kid's head for the rest of their life, because facial hair tends to get coarser as we age, you could be stuck with those for the rest of your life... or until you schedule a laser appointment (after baby is born, that is).

The good news here is that you're not alone. You may not be up for announcing it to the whole world, a la the Grammy Award winning actress, but you're obviously in good company. You may just want to avoid magnifying mirrors until a few months after delivery to be on the safe side.
