Couple announces pregnancy with creative sex tape (VIDEO)

Hands down, this is the most unusual pregnancy announcement ever

If you think announcing a pregnancy with a sex tape is a bit um… unusual, just wait until you see this one released by a couple who appears to be from Toronto.

Titled "Jen and Calvin's First Sex Tape," it was uploaded on YouTube for all the world to see. And what you see is … well, just watch. Don't worry; it's safe for work.

Is your head spinning? It's hilarious and bizarre all at the same time. The sperm hunting down the elusive egg, until finally they connect. Did you catch the name of the book she drops that finally gets them together – Great Eggspectations? Clever.

The ending is lovely in an absurd sort of way, with the lucky sperm and egg dancing around in circles with the music pumping. Finally, the words "Coming in Spring 2016" come across the screen. Awww. Congratulations to them both on the pregnancy and making this video. They clearly put a lot of time and thought into it.

From unique pregnancy announcements like this to elaborate gender reveal events and time-lapse pregnancy videos, parents these days are getting more and more creative with all the stages of parenthood right from the beginning. They're fun to watch and a great way to capture the experiences, but it's definitely not for everyone, and no one should feel pressure to outdo other parents with creativity. Because if you start that early, you're going to be utterly exhausted by preschool when the world of homemade Valentine's Day cards and picture perfect bento box lunches hit.

So enjoy. Be inspired by people like Jen and Calvin, but don't let them make you feel bad that you just called up your family and said, "Hey guess what? We're having a baby."
