"We are not going to do a letter theme," said Jill, who is due this spring and is around 19 weeks pregnant. "But we may do some kind of theme, like family names."
It's probably a good idea that she not use names that start with the letter "J" since her mom Michelle, star of TLC's 19 Kids & Counting, has pretty much used up all of the "J" names. In case you are wondering, Jill's 18 siblings are named Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie.
OK, so what will she name her son?
The most obvious baby name choice, especially if she wants a family-themed name, is after her dad, Jim Bob. She did, however, indicate she would stay away from "J" letter themes so maybe she will use his middle name instead of his first name. Another option would be Robert Bob (shortened to Bob Bob, of course, or Bob Squared) — or perhaps Bobby Bob? Billy Bob? They can call him B.B.
I'm a little partial to SpongeBob myself... (sorry, couldn't resist.)
All joking aside, she could also decide to name him after Derick. In that case, Derick Bob Duggar would make a good choice — and they can even call him D.B.
She might decide to pick a name that starts with the letter D, after daddy Derick. The family also seems to like double names, so here are a few more Duggar family baby name guesses:
Or perhaps she will use Derick as the middle name? In that case, she might like:
I wrote an entire article on double names — and the good thing about these types of names is that you have lots of options. For example, John Paul — you can call him John, Paul, John-Paul or even J.P. If they want to go this route, some good options would be Jason Patrick (J.P), Jack David (J.D.) or Ace Jack (A.J.).
There is also a good possibility that they will name him Rick, after Derick's dad who passed away in his sleep when Derick was in college.
The family is religious and tends to steer towards Biblical names. Jill and Derick could pick one of these names and continue with their family name trend by using Derick (and possibly even Rick) as middle names, for example Noah Derick Rick Duggar.
